Terms & Policies

The rules of the realm, what your support buys, and how we keep Luxor fair for everyone. By creating an account, playing, or making a purchase, you agree to everything below.

1. Terms of Service

Luxor RSPS ("Luxor", "we", "us") is a free-to-play, fan-made Old School RuneScape private server, offered for entertainment only. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Jagex Ltd. RuneScapeβ„’ is a trademark of Jagex Ltd. These terms govern your access to and use of the Luxor game, website, Discord, and any related services (the "Service").

1.1 Acceptance

By registering an account, logging in, or using any part of the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1.2 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to play, and at least 18 (or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian) to make any purchase. By purchasing, you confirm you are legally permitted to use the payment method provided and that it belongs to you.

1.3 Your Account

  • You are responsible for everything that happens on your account and for keeping your password secure.
  • Do not share, sell, trade, give away, or buy accounts. Accounts are non-transferable and remain our property.
  • Luxor staff will never ask for your password β€” in-game, on Discord, or by email. Anyone who does is attempting to scam you.
  • We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, at our sole discretion, with or without notice.

1.4 Acceptable Use

You agree not to cheat, bot, macro, use third-party automation, exploit bugs, manipulate the economy, deploy denial-of-service attacks, attempt to access systems or accounts that are not yours, or otherwise interfere with the Service or other players. Discovered exploits must be reported, not abused.

1.5 Service "As Is"

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and the game, its content, items, and economy may be changed, reset, or discontinued at any time. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Luxor and its staff are not liable for any loss of in-game items, progress, virtual currency, or data.

1.6 Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted to the News section and, where appropriate, emailed to registered players. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Purchases & Virtual Items

All payments are processed securely by our third-party payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.

  • A purchase grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use virtual credits, items, ranks, or cosmetics within Luxor. You are not buying property or any real-world asset.
  • Virtual credits and items have no real-world monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and exist only inside the game.
  • Digital goods are delivered instantly and are considered consumed/used the moment they are credited to your account.
  • We may modify, re-price, re-balance, remove, or discontinue any purchasable content at any time. Prices are shown at checkout and may change without notice.
  • Promotional or bonus credits are not redeemable for cash and may carry separate conditions.

3. Refund & Chargeback Policy

All purchases are final and non-refundable. Because Luxor sells digital goods that are delivered instantly and consumed in-game, all sales are final once the purchase is delivered to your account. By completing a purchase you expressly acknowledge this and waive any right of withdrawal once delivery has begun.

3.1 Genuine billing problems β€” talk to us first

If you were charged in error, charged more than once, or did not receive what you paid for, contact us first through our Discord support channel or by email within 14 days of the transaction. We keep full delivery records and will promptly investigate and correct any genuine error on our side. The overwhelming majority of issues are resolved this way in minutes.

3.2 Chargebacks & payment disputes

Opening a chargeback, dispute, or payment reversal against Luxor for goods that were delivered β€” instead of contacting us first β€” is treated as a breach of these terms and as theft of digital goods. It costs us fees and harms a community-run server. The following applies automatically to any account involved in a chargeback or dispute on delivered goods:

  • Immediate, permanent suspension of the account and of every account we associate with it.
  • Removal/clawback of all purchased credits and items, and of anything obtained, traded, or derived from them β€” even if your in-game balance is then negative.
  • The disputed amount becomes a debt owed to Luxor that must be settled before any access can be considered.
  • Forfeiture of all ranks, progress, and any pending or future benefits.

3.3 We contest fraudulent disputes

For every transaction we retain evidence of delivery β€” including timestamps, account and delivery logs, and the IP address used β€” and we will submit this evidence to the payment provider to contest any dispute we believe to be illegitimate. Chargeback fraud on knowingly-received digital goods may also be reported to the relevant payment networks and authorities.

3.4 Reinstatement

An account suspended for a chargeback may only be considered for reinstatement after the dispute has been fully withdrawn or reversed and any resulting balance has been settled in full. Reinstatement is at our sole discretion and is never guaranteed.

Nothing in this policy is intended to remove any right you have under applicable consumer-protection law that cannot be waived. Where such a right applies, it prevails over the above to the minimum extent required.

4. Community Guidelines

Luxor is for everyone. These rules apply in-game, on the website, and in our Discord. Staff enforce them at their discretion; punishments scale with severity and history.

  • Be respectful. No harassment, hate speech, discrimination, threats, or sexually explicit content. No spamming or flooding chat.
  • Play fair. No botting, macroing, auto-clicking, lag/clip abuse, or exploiting bugs. Found a bug? Report it with ::bug or in Discord β€” abusing it leads to a ban and rollback.
  • No real-world trading (RWT). Buying or selling in-game items, gold, services, or accounts for real money (anywhere other than our official store) is strictly prohibited.
  • No scamming or impersonation. Do not impersonate staff or other players, phish for logins, or deceive players out of items.
  • No advertising of other servers or unrelated services.
  • No cheating the systems. This includes vote/referral abuse, multi-account abuse of one-time rewards, and evading mutes or bans.

Punishments range from warnings and mutes to jails, temporary bans, and permanent bans, with item rollbacks where appropriate. Appeals can be made through our Discord. Staff decisions are final.

5. Privacy

We collect only what we need to run the Service: your email address (for account verification, security, and important notices), your chosen username, and technical data such as IP addresses and gameplay logs used for security, anti-fraud, and moderation. Payment details are handled entirely by our payment provider β€” we do not receive or store your card numbers.

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with our payment provider or where required by law or to investigate fraud, abuse, or chargebacks. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data via Discord or email, subject to records we must retain for fraud prevention.
